This site is operated by Surf Hospitality Group Inc., 239 Snowmass Club Cir, Snowmass Village, CO 81615, United States (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller — we decide what is collected and why, and we are responsible for everything described below. Write to privacy@cisurfclub.com about anything on this page. Because we offer our services to people in Europe, we apply the GDPR’s standards to everyone, wherever they are. For anything to do with your data, write to privacy@cisurfclub.com.
Right now this site does one thing: it lets you leave an email address so we can tell you when we open. There is no account and no purchase. We also measure how the site is performing, and how well our ads work — see “Cookies, analytics and advertising” below.
We do not collect anything else, and we do not ask you for anything else.
To stop the signup form being abused by bots, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. It runs invisibly — there is nothing to click and no visual indication that the check is happening — so we are telling you here instead.
When you submit the form, Turnstile processes your IP address, your browser’s user-agent and TLS fingerprint, and the identifier of this site. Cloudflare states that the purpose is “not to identify, profile or target any individuals but solely to detect and block bots”. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the form.
This processing is governed by Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum, which supplements Cloudflare’s main privacy policy.
Strictly necessary. Some storage is required for the site and the anti-spam check to work at all. This does not need your consent and is not used to track you.
Analytics — Google Analytics. With your consent we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they see and where they came from. It sets cookies and sends data — including your IP address, device and browser information, and the pages you view — to Google. We use this to improve the site, not to identify you. Legal basis: your consent.
Advertising — Meta (Facebook) Pixel. With your consent we use the Meta Pixel to measure how well our advertising on Facebook and Instagram works — for example, how many people who saw an ad went on to sign up. It sets cookies and sends data to Meta, which may match it to a Facebook or Instagram account if you have one. Legal basis: your consent.
You choose. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you accept them. You can change your mind at any time — open cookie settings — or block cookies in your browser. Refusing them does not stop you signing up.
We do not sell your data.
We are a United States company and your data is stored there — the database is hosted by Supabase in the US, and Google and Meta process analytics and advertising data in the US. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, that means your data is transferred outside it; those transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep your email address for as long as we are running the Channel Islands Surf Club project and still have something to tell you about it — or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Ask any time, at privacy@cisurfclub.com, and we will remove it.
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or object to it — and you can withdraw your consent at any time, including your cookie choices (cookie settings). Write to privacy@cisurfclub.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority — the EDPB keeps the list. Wherever you are, we would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
